Industrial Designer

Tandem Product Design is currently looking for a Staff Industrial Designer with 2-3 years of Industrial Design work experience to join our award-winning design and development studio in OC, 45mins from the city of Los Angeles.

Your position involves a broad range of responsibilities including ideation sketching, 3D modeling, rendering, product research, presentation preparation. Your talent will have an positive impact on the final products which will potentially being the leaders in the market.

You will work with a team on cutting edge products with the latest technology from ideation to engineering stage. The diverse projects can include Consumer Audio Products, Video Products, Tablet PCs and medical devices that can change the way how people interact with on a physical and emotional level. You will create trend boards, design sketches, renderings and CMF drawings for engineering development. 

Specific Skills

-Minimum of 2 years of work experience required
-Competitive salary and medical, dental insurance offered
-Attention to detail, able to multitask and work efficiently under tight timelines 
-Superb form development skills, strong aesthetic sensibility and able to visually and verbally communicate through sketches, renderings and presentations 
-Team player, works well independentlly and with a team, positive attitude
-Sense and knowledge of the current design trends as well as the a strong interest in all areas of design and consumer culture
-Basic knowledge of manufacturing process, materials, finishes 
-Working knowledge of Unigraphics/Solid Works/Alias, Keyshot, .Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

Submission Details

Candidates must show ideation sketches demostrating form development, problem solving skills. Surface modeling, Solid Modeling work samples a strong plus.
